Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend

 

The Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend program commonly know as the PFD was created by the state of Alaska legislation in 1980 to share a portion of the profits earned on the investments of the Permanent Fund with the citizens of Alaska. There is a one year residency requirement to be eligible for the PFD.

The PFD is based on a five-year average of the net earnings only, of the Permanent Fund. The history of disbursements by year are as follows.
